Latest version of Lightroom for MacOS crashes on launch

Hi there,
I am using MacOS 10.13.6 and just installed Lightroom (version 4) from the Mac Appstore. It crashes on launch. I removed the app, restarted my computer and reinstalled the app. I also reset the preferences, but it does not seem to fix it.

Are there any other suggested ways to address the issue?
