Lightroom brushes & adjustments not working right

For the past week or so (since the update) when I apply my preset, use my brush to lighten an area, etc. it doesn't work the same - the exposure is barely noticble when I try and adjust it, same with clarity and texture....it's almost as if it's not working at all (but there is a slight difference so it's working, just not very well).

I am a boudoir photographer and can't freaking edit anything right now - what gives? How do I fix this?!
