Lightroom CC iMac 5k performance

Hej,

For reference this has nothing to do with 5K itself.

I have run Lightroom CC on a MacBook Pro hooked up to a 5K display and it's FINE.

Hi prrbee,

Sorry that you're facing performance issues with Lightroom on your 5K iMac.

We have received several reports of performance related issue with Lightroom CC running on 5K iMac and we are tracking it here: Lightroom CC: Slow performance and scrolling - iMac 2017 | Photoshop Family Customer Community

Could you please take a look at the above discussion and let us know if that helps?

Thanks,

Akash

The thread is 1 year old Lightroom CC: Slow performance and scrolling - iMac 2017 | Photoshop Family Customer Community

I have a brand-new 2019 iMac 5K - the 8-core Core i9 and 40 GB of RAM. Lightroom CC is so slow it is basically unusable.

For comparison, I have a 4-core MacBook Pro that's fast, and a 6-core Windows PC that is also very fast.
