Lightroom Classic rename photo does not work...

I want to rename all photos in a given folder because they're out of order captured.

In Libary I sort by capture time and Ctrl+A to select all 175 photos in the folder. I hit F2 to bring up Rename photo dialog.

The File Naming drop-down already had my format selected, so I clicked OK. In the upper lefthand corner appears a progress bar and "Renaming 175 photos" but nothing changed.

Am I doing something wrong?

You may want to post some screenshots to demonstrate your problem.  It's hard to tell from your description what is going on.
