Lightroom has encountered a problem and needs to be restarted

I lauched lightroom today and it came up with a message saying Lightroom has encountered a problem and needs to be restarted. I have previously has this message however i thought i had fixed igt by installing an older version of lightroom however as of today the message has come back and i can no longer use the app even after restarting, reinstalling and relogging my account. Since i have a school acount I cannot use the support pages as they do not allow me to find assistance online or with an adobe support person. please help.
