Question

Lightroom preset rotates 90° when applied on images (macOS)

Hi all

Im trying to make own presets, and when I save them and go to use them on different photos, the preset rotates 90° and all my selective adjustments (radial/linear gradient) are going the wrong directions (they go left to right instead of top to bottom).
I only shoot portrait, so don't see why it should rotate...

any ideas would be appreciated

thanks

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. We're here to help.

Which version of Lightroom and macOS are you using? When you created your preset, did you add any crop or rotate action? Would you mind sharing your workflow; share a screen recording with us if possible while you create the presets?

Since when are you seeing this issue? If your assets are synced, you can try re-installing the software.

What camera do you use, and is auto-rotate enabled?

You can also try resetting Lightroom's preferences using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/2JSym5e.

Please backup your presets prior to resetting the preferences.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks!
