Lightroom sync

Hello all, I see many many posts and support questions around syncing Lightroom on iOS with Lightroom Classic on desktop however I can't find anything with Lightroom on iOS syncing with Lightroom CC on my Mac.

My issue is when I rate a photo 5 stars on Lightroom iOS or Lightroom CC, that change is synced. But if I edit a photo on mobile or desktop that change is not synced over at all. So I can edit a photo on desktop but when I check the photo on mobile 30 mins later, no edits have carried over apart from the 5 star rating. The photo on desktop appears  to have synced as the cloud icon says that it's up to date but the changes do not carry over. Can someone help please?
