LR mobile on a Chromebook - shouldn't the free version be available?

I am a HS teacher working in a hybrid environment this year (thanks COVID!).  My students have been given ACER Chromebooks to use for devices.  According to Adobe (https://helpx.adobe.com/mobile-apps/help/lightroom-mobile-faq.html) the free version of LR mobile should work on the chromebook OS, just like on an Android phone or iOS phone.

My problem is that it's showing up as a "free trial" which has now expired for my students.  They CAN log into their accounts via their phones and edit there...but why can't they do the same via their chromebooks?  Am I missing a setting they should be toggling or checking?  Help would be appreciated!  THX
