Metadata (keywords) do not show in Apple Finder

My exported jpeg files do not contain the keywords (metadata) I assigned in Lightroom as viewed by Apple Finder on a Mac, e.g., using "command" + "i" to show the file info. Wierdly, importing those same jpeg files into Apple Photos and the keywords survive, so they show in Photos but not in Finder "Get Info". I've searched all over and cannot seem to find an answer to this issue for the cloud version of Lightroom (I am running 5.4 on a Mac).

Any suggestions or tips most appreciated!
