ACR Freezes When Using Point Color

Hi Folks,

I edit a lot of 3rd-party jpgs in batches in Adobe Camera Raw and Pshop. With the latest release of ACR 16.2, the program freezes 50% of the time I employ Point Color to edit one of a number of images in a batch. Now further editing keystrokes are allowed and I cannot select a different image in the batch, however I can select a file from the filmstrip and open it in PS.

 

I am running Sonoma 14.2.1 on an Apple M2 Mac Studio Ultra. I am also using PS 25.5.1.

    Hey, @Louminator. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out. 

     

    Do you see an error or pop-up in the app? Please share more details, like screenshots & video recordings of what you see.

     

    Just to be sure, try these steps:

    Ensure Photoshop has the required permissions on the macOS: https://adobe.ly/4acSPg1

     

    In Photoshop, press & hold the CMD + OPT key, go to Photoshop > Settings > Camera Raw Preferences, and select 'Yes' when prompted to reset Camera Raw preferences.
