Hey guys,

im fixing bridges on orthophotos at the moment, because some are deformed. I am trying to copying "correct" bridges to the Orthophoto.

- Both images are in RGBI - 16 bit
- i Used the lasso tool on one image copied the content of the Lasso and pasted it into another Photoshopfile containing the second RGBI File.

- The new Layer on the second file does not contain all 4 Layers and im only able to copy the RGB layers or the Alpha 1 layer.

Is there any good to solution to solve the issue? 🙂

If you need to work with transparency/Masks for Layers of four Channels then CMYK is the only option in Photoshop.

So you could use CMYK in a work-around (R to C, G to M, B to Y, Alpha to K) – converting the images to and from CMYK could very probably be automated via a Script.

RGB and Alpha 1 are not layers, but channels.

In the source file, select all channels in the channel palette (so that they are all highlighted in blue).

Don't forget to lasso the desired area.

Execute the Copy command (Ctrl+C).

In the final file, also select all channels. If there is no Alpha 1 channel there, then create it first.

After selecting all the channels in the final file, run the Paste command (Ctrl+V).

Can you place the image and then mask out or remove sections you don't need?
