i have laptop having AMD radeon HD 8690M driver. i have installed photoshop 2024 but it gives incompatibility check for directx 12. whould i be able to solve this problem in laptop?
The Feature Level is the GPU's actual and physical capabilities. what it can do. It's a hardware requirement, not a software requirement, so nothing that can just be updated. The only option is to get a newer and better GPU. The current requirement is feature level 12.0.
DirectX 12 "support" just means it supports the DirectX 12 APIs (Application Programming Interfaces). But it doesn't mean it can actually execute all the functions in the DX12 specification. So many older GPUs have DX12 "support", but only feature level 11.
