Filter Gallery Block grayed out and not available

In photoshop latest version filter gallery block in the filter panel grayed out and not available. What can I do to fix this problem?

Upon further investigation I had image mode set at 32 bits/ channel. i'm confident this is where my problem came from.

Yes, that is one of the issues that will cause the filter gallery to not work.

I think the file was too big as the filter gallery appears with other smaller images

  • What color mode is your image in?
  • How many bits?
  • How big is it?

You've given us nothing to go on.

  1. Double-click the background layer in your Layers panel to unlock it.
  2. Change your image Mode to RGB and 8-bits/channel.

 

For better answers, we need more information.
