Frustration on REVERT menu: suggestion

After working on an image for 45 min while trying to save I've accidently (and not for the first time this happens) pushed the 'REVERS' button instead of the one above.

So wouldn't it be a good idea to place this menu botton not just underneath a save botton but rather somewhere else so there's a little space between those specially since you can't undo this action !!!!

VERY FRUSTATING and I wonder if I'm the only one who has done this allready?

Sorry, don't know under what topic this belongs...

You posted to Photoshop Developers and you are not a Developer. I've moved your question to Photoshop for you.

First, you can undo a Revert in Photoshop. Open your History panel (Window menu) and step back in History to before the Revert.

Secondly, I have done two things to avoid the issue altogether :

If I want to revert, I use the History panel and click on the "Open" state. The panel holds the last 50 steps by default, but that number can be changed in Preferences.

I hope this helps,

Jane

This is something I used to have happen with one of the Gaming keyboards I use.  On this particular keyboard, the key to the left of Ctrl defaulted to F12, so it was all to easy to hit it accidentally.  What was worse is that I didn't innitially understand what was happening.  The fix was to program that key to something else — I made the problem G-key another Ctrl key till I found an action or macro to triger with it.

The bottom line here though, is that Revert takes you back to the last time you saved your project, so it really shouldn't be a problem, because we all regularly save our work .
