Hi All,

I am reaching out for process guidance to achive the image attached.

I suspect it may be a combination of Illustrator & Photoshop?

I'm far from an expert and have exhausted online tutorials for ideas.

Any assitance wouldbe greatfully received.

Cheers

You could try assigning a gradient to the paths that could include areas of 0% Opacity.

You might try experimenting with overlaying various sections, adding Blend modes, and adding effects such as Inner Glow or Outer Glow.

You could probably do it all in Illustrator.

If you'd like to do both, I'd recommend starting in Illustrator with the Blend tool to make the wavy lines as blends. Here's more information about Illustrator's Blend tool:

Then in Photoshop, you could add the background, duplicate the effect, move it to the background, add a blur, and add Blend modes as desired.

Myra, thankyou for your prompy reply.

If I were to keep within Illustrator are you able to give advice on how to construct the blend path to achive the isolated zone attached. I'm interested in the blured teal colour into black whilst keeping the highlights on the what appears to be the stroke?
