How to save image with finger print on it!

Hi all,

 

What anyone know what would be the best way to save these images? I managed to get a finger print on my 1.4 convertor when shooting and it has ruined them as shown below. I tried doing it through creating an adjustment layer and equalising it then correcting with the clone stamp tool but when I remove that layer the changes do not remain in the original layer. I'm not experienced with layers as such.

 

Any tips on how to save please?

I would suggest using the remove tool instead of the clone stamp. Made simple quick work of this in no time.

Can I presume that you have many images with the fingerprints in the same location? If so I would guess that you are looking for automation.

    When you save your photoshop document, you'll want to keep all your layers that you adjusted in the file. You can use the "Save as a Copy" to create a file that merges all your working layers to a single layer/single file.

        Yes, a lot of the long established tools are becoming redundant nowadays, or made much easier with Photoshop's newer features.  Especially Ai enhanced tools.   It feels like cheating, but it is so easy to copy the layer and use Remove Background which effectively gives you a, usually, excellent mask to protect the forground object while fixing background artefacts.  It's all so easy now.

          If you do your corrections on a separate layer do not remove it. Either keep it and save it within the document or merge it with the original layer which will keep the corrections
