Question

I reset my photoshop preferences and now all my drawing files are overly opaque. What do I do?

I recently reset my photoshop preferences as it had been crashing frequently, but now all of my prior art files have lines that are more opaque than they used to before. Even the output matches the new level of darkness and it's quite infuriating. I've checked color profiles, proof colors, etc., and none of it seems to be the case. The profile has always been sRGB and i've never messed with those settings, proof colors is off, and I've messed with my graphic settings and it still remains the same. The only thing that 'brings it back' is to make the file 32bit/channel but I had worked with the files looking like they were worked on as if they were 32bit/channel but always being 8bit/channel. Please, anything helps. Here is an example of what I'm talking about.

First image is the file opened recently with the opacity issues, and the second is the old export I did months back prior to the preference reset.
