Question

LrC asking if I want to send image to PS Beta instead of Photoshop

I'm using a MAC and this issue just started happening recently... possibly after an update.

I am working on an image in LrC and go to send it to PS 2024. I get a message asking if I want to send it to PS Beta since it's already open. The problem is that I closed PS Beta the last time I used it, and it shows as closed in my app section. As a result, I have to pen PS Beta and close it again before I'm given the option to send an image to PS 2024. I don't know why this bug is suddenly happening, but its annoying to work around. Has anyone else encountered this, and what have you done about it?

@default8j8vpypfshq3 LR will always send a file to the most recent version of that app. Unforunately this causes issues when you run a beta on the same system as your production instance. They are both Photoshop 2024 technically, but the beta is newer with 25.2 while the public release is 25.1.

Not sure if you need the beta but if not, the easiest solution is to uninstall it.

Had this issue on our Mac's resolved by uninstalling PS Beta.

We're you able to reinstall it again afterward or did the same problem occur?

I don't use LRC, but I have read many times on the forums that the last version installed is the one LRC uses. You might have to uninstall both (backup preferences first), then install PS beta first and PS (released) last.

If you need directions for backing up preferences, please ask in the Photoshop forum.
