macOS Photoshop 2024 25.4.0 all images open grey

Since a few days, all images of any type open grey, see below. Restarting, no change. Updating macOS, no change. Reinstalling Photoshop 2024, no change. What can be done?

    Same problem now on two MacBook Pros. This is bizarre. What can be done? Images are visible in the Layers palette and in Camera Raw.


    @UselessUser Go to Settings/Tech Preview and check "Disable Native Canvas" then relaunch PS. If this does not resolve then go to Settings/Performance and uncheck "Multithreaded Compositing" then relaunch again.
