Ps v25.0

Windows 10

Since the inception of photoshop, selecting an object on a canvas selects That subject. But with these recent updates- which I applaude Adobe for, some of these changes seem counter to workflow, muscle memory & macro shortcuts.

Lets say I want to remove something destracting in a photo, quickest tool I normally use (with the understanding there are 1000 ways to do the same thing in PS) I freehand a quick select the offending object using the "Patch Tool" (Quick & easy, hit "J " make the rough selection), most of the times you all already zoomed in, then, either "SHIFT+F5" or associated Macro key & "Content Aware Fill".

For some unknown reason, this action selects the "INVERSE" of what I selected, adding an extra step of now "Right-Clicking, then Inverse selection" which now takes up presious workflow time.

This simple action may seem petty & easy to work around, but sometimes I catches you off guard & the computer tries to "Content-Aware Fill" the entire canvas, which will never work, hanging up the machine sometimes.

I know this may seem trivial but this little bug both on Ps BETA & Ps V.25.0 makes me feel anxious about getting through my workflow as fast & accurate as possilble. Along with the "Sticky HAND TOOL" completely breaks concentration when retouching a bunch of images with a deadline.
