Question

My mouse is acting crazy when I am in photoshop on my mac

I will go to use any tool and the moves are fast, erratic and over exaggerated - I am not getting anything done because it takes forever for my cursor to land anywhere on my art and half the time it isn't in the right spot

If no, please make a short video of the issue.

Have you any graphic tablet driver installed?

If yes, please try to disconnect the graphic tablet and unistall it.

Hi, Francesco.

I am having a similar issue, no tablet. It occurs with both a wireless and wired mouse.

My specific issue is with the Geometry tools when opening Camera RAW images. If I want to draw guides using the guide tool found under Geometry in the Camera RAW import window. In the attached video, what you can't see is me frantically struggling to get the cursor under control. It feels very sluggish then tends to go off on it's own. When it moves up to the top of the screen I was literally not moving the mouse at all. I had tried to gently nudge the cursor up with my mouse by a very small amount and it just took off to the top of the screen and I really struggled to get it to move back down. Same thing when it went to the bottom left.

I have not had this problem until the current update as far as I know (I tend to perform this function in batches once a month or on a three week schedule). I haven't added any new software or major updates other than Adobe updates and Microsoft Office updates. I don't have this problem in any other software or with any other features in Photoshop that I am aware of yet.

I'm running the latest version of macOS Catalina - 10.15.7, 24 gigs of RAM 3.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5, with an AMD Radeon R9 M380 2 GB graphics card/chip.

As mentioned, I haven't had this problem before, and I am not aware of any other issues in any other programs. It seems to have only occured after the latest update one or two weeks ago.
