My recent files have disappeared after the latest update to 25.9.1

Question

Opened PS today, after updating, and all my recent files are gone. If I click on "my files", old files from much older versions are loaded, but nothing I've worked on over the last few weeks. I import previous settings when updating, so where did they go? This is annoying.

Your files still exist in the location where you saved them. The recent list is simply a pointer, or shortcut, to the actual files. If you don't know where you saved your files, you might do a platform search. Details here:
