Pen Tool Anchor Point Problems

Anyone else having issue witht eh pen tool anchor points in the latest Photoshop update?

If I make an anchor point, and hold the left click on the mouse, it brings up the handles and I can adjust the curve of my path. When I let go, it should release the handle and I should then be able to make a new anchor point. But about 50% of the time, releasing my mouse doesnt realese the handle. The only way for me to release the handle is to left click the mouse again but this creates a new anchor point where I click and removes the previous one.

This screws up my path and is very frusting especially if I'm trying to work quickly. I'd just like some peace of mind to know that I'm not alone in this struggle and that Adobe is working on a solution. Previous versions of Photoshop do not have this problem

Also, no this has nothing to do with the rubber band option in the pen tool.

Thank you for showing me that. Yes it is a very similar bug. I have also experienced issues witht eh space bar not realesing when using the hand tool. I reverted back to a earlier version of Photoshop (24.7) and am not experiencing any issues. It'd be nice if I could use the latest version but unfortuntely I cant due to this bug.

It sounds like the same thing as this well publicized bug, which everyone is eagerly awaiting a permanent fix for.

In the meantime, try to reset preferences. It fixes it for many users (including me) - but strangely, you may need to do the reset three or even four times before anything happens.
