Photoshop, Bridge, Camera Raw & Lightroom constant errors due to memory problems
Hello, I recently upgraded my system with a new graphics card to be able to use the latest versions of the apps mentioned above. Unfortunately, everything crashes several times a day with error messages related to memory problems.
Bridge sometimes just freezes. Camera Raw displays an "unknown error" or "insufficient memory" in the export dialog - sometimes when exporting only 2 images. The acceleration of the graphics card is then deactivated or restricted. A reasonable export is often only possible with several attempts.
In Photoshop, for example, when using the liquefy tool, there is an error message at some point regarding insufficient memory. Then everything hangs up completely.
In Lightroom, it was impossible to export images.
System:
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor 3.80 GHz
32 GB RAM
GeForce RTX 4070 with 12 GB graphics memory
Free hard disk space over 120 GB
Windows 10 Pro latest version, all the latest Adobe updates.
Not much running in parallel that could eat up memory... Firefox, email, that's it.
New installations have not helped. Switching from the Game Ready driver to the Studio driver of the graphics card has improved the situation at least in Lightroom. The export now seems to work here.
Unfortunately, as usual, Adobe's telephone support only responds with placebo sentences. It seems to me that the memory management is completely poorly implemented. There were no problems with the older versions with an old GeForce GTX 580 with only 1.5 GB of graphics memory.
I hope someone here can help me?
