Photoshop Brushes for illustrating a golf course... Need help !

Hi

Can someone suggest how I can create the same texture where the red arrow points too. I'm assuming that it's a texture, pehaps a photoshop brush and that the creator has then added colour on top ? In any case, any help would be much appreciated ! Thansk so much !

Start with a canvas size a good four times your final document size

Filter Render Clouds with the foreground, background colours something like in my screen shot.

Use method of choice to increase contrast.

Free Transform to reduce the layer size to final size.

Filter > Sketch > Reticulation.

I made a brush with just a bunch of round dots. applied rotation, scaling, and scatter with a couple different shades of green.

Thanks for the help Chuck, I'll give that a go and see what I can get. I also tried using the noise filter.. getting closer I think ( square on right )
