Photoshop Bug: Images Layers Out of Order when Vertically Distributing them

I have several images I want organized in a vertical line.

The image layers are numbered. They're organized in descending order.

Layer 1 at the bottom of the layers panel. Layer 32 at the top of the layers panel.

I snapped layer 32 at the bottom of the canvas.

I snapped layer 1 at the top of the canvas.

I selected all my layers and clicked the distrubute vertically button. All the images were distrubuted vertically in a line. GREAT!

BAD NEWS! All the images are out of order on the canvas, however they are still in order in the layers panel.

And when I say OUT OF ORDER; I mean Layer 10 will have Layer 20 beneath it INSTEAD of Layer 11 on the canvas.

Did you ever find a solution to this? I'm currently having the same problem 😔

Can you provide a sample file and a description of the issue?

It seems »Distribute Spacing« does not distribute according to position in Layers stack but to the dimension (for »Distribute vertically« the height).

Have you tried using »Distribute vertical centers«?

Can you please provide the file (feel free to blacken sensitive parts)?
