Photoshop freezes when using gradient tool

Hi.  I just switched from mac to a new pc due to being about to keep up with the latest updates with photoshop.  I have the current version of photoshop 25.6.  I have a AMD Ryzen 7 7000 series.  Graphics card AMD Radeon RX 7600 and 16gb of memory.  What is the deal, I unistalled and reinstalled?
