Photoshop not updating brushstrokes on duplicated window

Hi,

I work on a mac Studio, and I have the latest photoshop version installed. OS is also up to date.

I use to work with duplicated windows to see in real time the result of a brush-stroke while I work in a small zoomed area. This is a standard operation that never gave me issue.

The issue is that it is lagging, or just not updating the twin-window at all. I have to go to the twin-window and click somewhere. Then it does the visual update.

I made a screenrecording showing the issue: https://youtu.be/wgefV5WGcrM

Anyone with the same issue? Or is there a way to solve this?

Thank you

What are the image’s pixel dimensions?

Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences (Photoshop > Preferences > Performance > Graphic Processor Settings) and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
