Just as background, "deactivate native canvas" reverts to older OpenGL graphics code, instead of the current DirectX based code. So under normal circumstances performance should be superior with this option unchecked. OpenGL is now unsupported and deprecated on both Windows and Mac.

In other words, this checkbox doesn't really solve anything. Maybe someone can spot the real problem in System Info.

While the GTX 1050 supports DirectX feature level 12.1 and so should still work, it is getting a bit old (2016). Is there an integrated Intel GPU in addition? That's often a conflict and a problem.

Hey there! Thanks for responding back. I've manually reset the preferences as you suggested, but unfortunately, the issue still persists with crashing. To give you a better idea of what's happening, I've attached a video demonstration for you. Interestingly, I've noticed that the older version of Photoshop (2023) doesn't encounter this crashing problem.

@WajahatProductions I've just tested on my system and enabling Deactivate Native Canvas does not cause Photoshop version 25.6 to crash when opening any files, have you tried manually resetting your Photoshop preferences
