Ps 25.7 MacOS 14.4. Tools on strike.

Ps has abruptly stopped/blocked every tool from working. All that appears is the hand and it doesn't move anything. I can select different tools from the side bar but behaviour doesn't change. I've been thru all the settings 3x. Nothing seems relevant/effective. Same behavior with all tools. Can operate the menu bar, but of course there's no tool control there. Can't think of anything else to try - start/restart/reboot. Open/Close. Duplicated layers. Preferences, etc. 

 

Important. Every other program on this device works properly with this mouse. (Apple - latest version.) What else? Mac Mini M2 Pro with Matias Tactile Pro keyboard. This setup has wortked perfectly in the past.

 

As a photographer in the middle of a project, I truly am desparete for a solution. (I've used Ps since v.1, so have a good background.)

Is the space bar stuck? If not, use keys to select tools. V is Move tool, S is clone stamp, I is eyedropper, and so on.

Good tip. Space bar not stuck. but I did go mucking about in Sys Prefs (Again). Found that someone (I'm sure I know who) altered the settings to for Accessibilty -> Keyboard -> Allow 'Full keyboard access'. It was on. Turned it off. Works fine. I like to help the kids out once in a while, but sometimes…
