Ps CC 2024 Auto open next image not working

Question

This is driving me slightly nuts!When I have a lot of images open in Ps, only the tabbed images at the top of the screen (usually 8-10ish) will auto open to the next image, after I edit and save the previous one.Ps used to automatically open the next image continuously, all the way through the uploaded images and not just the ones shown as tabs at the top of the screen.It randomly, occaisionally starts working again as I get towards the end of the batch of images!Have I screwed up a setting somewhere? I've looked but I can't see anything different in my preferences.Or is it a bug? I would be eternally grateful if someone could point me in the right direction!Thanks!

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
