PS Gradient scuffed on export or import in AE

Hi

When masking a gradient it shows up in ps perfectly fine 

When exporting as PNG I noticed a problem but it got fixed by changing the dpi/ppi 

 

When now importing the psd into ae the same problem as with the export shows up 

Tests show it also with different and new files from different versions of ps with and without comparability mode enabled. 

 

if this is a known issue please respond with a fix 

If not I'm happy to give you all the information you need to help me fix it

    If you only want to export and have this problem the easiest fix is either to save a copy and then save file as png or open the document in beta and export normally. 

     

    Howether this does not help with importing into other Adobe products.

      I'm facing the same issue when exporting a png through export as function. The custom gradient is reset to default.

      Then I use slice tool to make selection then save the file.
