PSCC 25.3.1 Workspace disappears

My workspace window shows my computer desktop.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled PS and reset my preferred workspace.  I have restarted my computer (twice).  I tried opening PS from LR.  The problem persists.  Everything was working fine.  I had been trying to create an animated gif before the problem occurred.  I am using an iMac Apple MI with Ventura 13.6.1
