Smooth out a gradient

Hi. Could anyone advise me on the best method of smoothing out this gradient? I have used image generation multiple times over different parts of a gradient and it has left subtle vertical and horizontal join lines.  I have already tried the spot healing tool without any success. 

Any recommendations?
