First, you must unlock the Banner layer, which is a Smart Object layer. Click on the padlock icon on the right side of the layer to make it disappear.

Double-click on the Banner layer thumbnail to enter Smart Object editing mode.

At this point, you can change the document or file orientation and make any other necessary adjustments.

Save and close after editing.

When you return to the main document, use the Save As command to save it as a new document. This way, you can keep your landscape logo and save the new portrait or square orientation separately.

Hello Bojan,

would you help me again? Unfortunately I still can't get it right. What is the best size to convert the banner layer to so that it can be set to portrait format?

I look forward to your answer.

Best regards Rania

You could place the layers that make this banner on an artboard (select the layers in the Layers panel, right-click, and select Artboard from Layers...), duplicate that artboard,  modify the size of this duplicated artboard, and resize and/or rearrange the elements as desired.
