Adding media: Not responding

I attempt to add media. After clikcking on "Get Media" I select the file and then it goes to "adding media" and then it freezes.

After a minute it says not responding and I have to close out.

I have used this program many a time, including last night. All of the sudden it is not working...

How do I fix that?

Sorry to hear about Photoshop Elements freezing, let's make it right.

What version of Elements are you using, and what OS?

Where are you importing from? And how large is your catalog?
