Best format for printing photo notecards .. save as ???? Elements 2020

When preparing a custom photo notecard design with a custom sized canvas..and project is completed, how should it be saved (in what format) for best quality printing of photos and design directly to cardstock? As photoshop file, tiff file, project file, photoshop PFD file, etc.?

Also best dpi? I'm guessing 200 to 300.

Also how to set best other image quality and color settings to improve color, contrast, etc.?

Where are those color setting menus and options located in Photoshop Elements 2020?

Using Photoshop Elements 2020 and Canon TS 8320 printer...
