can not save edited photos.

Using Elements 2019:  Open editor and edit photo.  I try to save the finished photo under the same name and get the overwrite message "do you want to overwrite...." I sat yes, and get the message File can not be found and returns me to the editor.  If I try to save the edited photo with another name, I get the file not found message.  any idea?

    What OS are you using?  What other options have you checked in the Save dialog?  Is the original file present in the Organizer catalog? What format are you saving as? (psd, jpg, png etc.)

    And which drive are you saving too?

    Yesterday, I had similar messages and it appeared that the USB external drive I was trying to save to was disconnected (bad cable).
