Can't get Licence code states Redeemption code "invalid"

I purchased Photoshop Elements 2020 & Premiere Element 2020 as a bundle from Dell computers.

Using the redeemption code I downloaded and installed the software BUT when I got to use Photoshop Elements it says I need a licence number to activate the software, but I don't have a licence number.

Adobe support pages directed me to a page where it said I could get the licence number by entering the Redeemption Code....but all I got was "you are not an authorised user of website"

The Abode support website just sends me round & round in circles or accuses me of being supplied illicit software by Dell.

Thnakyou very much 99jon for the response....this time it worked, have successful stitched back together my grandmother who had been sawn in three.
