Can't install Photoshop Elements on MacBookPro with MacOS 14 (Mojave)

Hello,

I installed the program at first on my Windows computer. Afterwards I deactivated the program there and tried to install the mac version on my MacBookPro. When I start the installation program, I log into my account and can select language and installation path. There I select "Deutsch" and start the installation. The installer states that it is evaluating the time needed for installation and the progress stays at 0% for hours. The longes time I waited was overnight, about 8 hours. Next morning it still was at 0%, but no error message.

I tried to install on a different account. I deinstalled Elements 10. But I still have no success.

What else can I try? Or how can I find out, why installation does not progress?
