Can't save edited photos in PSE 15?

PSE 15 will not save photos edited in the Editor. The dialogue boxes appear but when I hit the final "OK" the software shuts down and no file is saved. I also cannot print edited photos from the Editor, I receive an error message. I am operating on Windows 10, Version 1809 with the latest updates. I have also checked for the latest PSE 15 updates.

Yes.

Several issues have been identified following a WIN10 update earlier this year, and a registry fix is in order. See here:

This is the error message that I receive: "There was a printer error opening your printer. Printer functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents."

I have tried two solutions. First, a selected a different printer as my default printer and re-started PSE 15. Second, I re-selected the original printer and re-started PSE 15. Neither solution worked.

I can print from the organizer but I can't move any edited photos to it for printing and as mentioned earlier the software will not save edited photos in the Editor.

The Editor and Organizer have different print engines.

Suggest that you delete preferences - perhaps this will fix it.

Go to Editor, Edit menu>Preferences>General and look for this:
