cannot access organizer from the editor and home page. i have elements 2019

2019 elements organizer froze, and now i cannot access it.  the editor works fine.  Is the 2020 version better, really? or should i uninstall and install 2019 again.?  will that mess up the program, or just do an alt, shift control?  Thanks, just spent over 60 min on adobe phone support on hold, so zero support there...prob tgif, mary Ann  Thanks for help

    What happens when you launch the program? 

    Using alt, shift control to delete preferences doesn't cause any permanent harm.  Before you try that, you might want to try Shift+Click to open the Organizer?  This will open the Catalog Manager and usually allows you to open the catalog if you are receiving certain error messages upon opening the program.
