Cannot print under Elements 8

Recently upgraded to MacOS Sierra 10.1 and reinstalled Elements 8, Now I cannot print images under PSE but still can print OK for Word docs and emails. When I click on the Print button PSE window disappears and I get an error message "Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 quit unexpectedly". I have tried restarting my computer and quitting and restarting PSE numerous times but that does not resolve the problem. What do I do. Note: Adobe Chat does not support Elements 8 so I can get no help from them.
