Does Elements 13 have a cache or folder where I can retrieve lost or deleted work?

Being careful over space on my Windows 10 hard drive, I often delete photos I've edited unsucessfully. But sometimes, I later think of a better technique and want to attempt a fresh edit. So does Elements have a store or cache where it just might be possible to find lost work and resurrect the image?  And should I empty this regularly to save space?

Any advice would be appreciated.
