Does pen pressure work in PSE2018 and if so how can I get it to work?

I've had this problem multiple times before and have asked this before here but I still can't figure it out. It's incredibly frustrating. I'm using PSE2018 on a new HP laptop (so Windows 10) with a brand new Wacom Intuous tablet and I can't get pen pressure to work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled drivers and it does nothing. I have pen pressure in every other program except PSE. This exact problem occurred on my old laptop with my old tablet (also a Wacom) - pen pressure also worked in PSE 11. Yes, I have the box for size checked under "Tablet Settings". At this point I'm so frustrated that I'm just stuck here wondering if pen pressure even works in this program at all.
