Question

Elements 12 keeps crashing

I'm on a Win 7 computer and own Elements 12.  I don't use it that much or that often, but some time in the past month or so found that I can't use it.  It crashes when I fire it up, whether or not I'm doing it with a file.

Today I uninstalled and re-installed the software and it's still doing exactly the same thing.  I can't even try to update, because it won't stay up long enough for me to try to do that.

Problem: APPCRASH

Appname: PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe

Application Version: 12.0.0.0

Application Timestamp:  52251a2b

Fault Module Name: ntdll.dll

Fault Module Timestamp:  5a58e1b4

Exception Code:  C0000005\

Exception Offset: 0004ebcb

Locale ID: 1033

There is additional information but I'm not going to type it all up unless somebody can use it -- it's a gobbldygook of hex and I'd have to type it from the screenshot I took.

This is not acceptable.  Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

Try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site.
