Elements 12 opens and I can't see the drop down menus. Crashes when opening files.

I had an older version of Elements installed and uninstalled that one and reinstalled 12 because it was doing the exact same thing.

I'll open the program, opens fine (was installed without error).  Where your file and help drop down menus are, it shows nothing at all.  (photo below).  Also, as soon as I go to open any images (of any kind of format), it will open them and then force close itself (photo also below).

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.  It seems like a computer issue since it's been doing it with more than one elements program... but I need this fixed...

It should be noted that I downloaded the free trial for the latest version of elements and it worked FINE.  Not one freeze, not one force close, showed all the menu options....  It has now expired, hence why I'm installing 12, and am now running into the exact same issue.

PLEASE SEND HELP!!!
