Elements 12 Question

Hi.

I have Photoshop Elements 12, which usually suits my needs just fine.

One thing that is frustrating are the slides to make adjustments, such as for hue. I find the slides difficult to use, especially on a fine scale. Is there any way to convert to up and down arrows to move the slide, which will make for finer and easier adjustments. I've looked under preferences, and found nothing useful. I am no expert here.
