Elements 14 does not update to camera raw 9.5

Have a canon EOS 80D that should be compatible with Elements 14, but my current version is Camera Raw 9.1.  I have tried updating using the Help>Updates..., but I always  receive the message that all my programs are up to date.  I tried reinstalling Elements 14 from disk and from the website, but none of the versions will update to Camera Raw 9.5.

Windows 10 w/64 bit Elements 14

Thank you for the response.  I have seen the converter workaround posted for similar issues with camera raw files, but my camera and Elements 14 should work with Camera Raw 9.5 according the Adobe FAQ.  I don't understand why the software says all files are up to date when they obviously are not.

You are right, PSE14 should support updating to Camera Raw 9.5 (it does for me).

I suspect two possible problems:

- an old version of your AAM Adobe manager. See:

Troubleshoot Adobe Application Manager download and installation issues

- other older versions of ACR still somewhere on your system. Search for other possible versions for Camera Raw.8bi files.

Explanation and solution in that faq:

FAQ: Will Photoshop Elements work with my camera, or Why won't my raw files open?

The free solution offered by Adobe is the DNGconverter mentioned in that faq.

It's not a plugin, it's a standalone application which can batch convert a whole folder of your NEF files to the DNG raw format that your camera can read and edit. A single additional batch step (even for hundreds of raws) but free and with the same quality.
