Elements 14 won't start

I've been using Elements 14 on a WIN 10 PC for some time.

I recently installed the Adobe Premier trial version video editor from the Elements 14 disk.

Now Elements 14 won't start--no response to icon click

Troubleshoot did not help. It checked compatibility with WIN 7 and WIN 8--no option re WIN 10

Uninstalled Premier--still no start.

Afraid to uninstall Elements and reinstall due to the program install counter!

Anyone have a solution??
